A Vide Poche tray by Maurice Bouval circa 1900, which depicts a nude kneeling on a leaf. The quality and casting is excellent.
Dimensions are 17cm (7″3/4) by 12cm (4″3/4), and the nude height is 7cm (2″3/4), impressed mark M. Bouval.
Maurice Bouval (1863–1916) was a renowned French art nouveau sculptor, who gained recognition for his work at the 1890 Exposition Universelle in Paris. He was also a member of the Societe des Artistes Francais and he is highly sought after by collectors.
