Visiting Card Tray By George Delpérier

 
A semi-naked woman resting in a tobacco leaf is depicted on a calling card tray in the Art Nouveau style by George Delpérier (1865–1936). The design of this patinated bronze tray was created for the 1900 Paris Salon.
 
He was a well-known French sculptor who was accepted into the Paris School of Fine Arts and dedicated his time creating art.
 
The bronze is signed Delpérier and Salon 1900, the shape and casting is exceptional with a lovely patina. Size is : 19.3/4 inch (50cm) X 6 inch (15.5cm).
