This Art Nouveau pewter vase features a female figure surrounded by intricate floral motifs. It was designed by the renowned French Art Nouveau artist and sculptor, Claude Bonnefond (1868-1936), for B&G Imperial Zinn (1899 – 1910).
The vase is marked with the B&G mark and the design number 4650 at the base, it is also signed C. Bonneford on the side. The height measures 37 centimetres (15inches).

HISTORY
Claude Bonnefond was born in Mâcon, France, in 1868. He showcased his work at the Salon des Artistes Français in both 1892 and 1893, as well as at the Exposition d’art Décoratif et Industriel in Nancy during the same year. In 1900, he relocated to the Argentan region of France, where he resided until his passing in 1936.
IMPERIAL ZINN (1899 – 1910) was a German metalware company, established by Peter Bitter and his associate Kaufmann Wilhelm Gobbers in 1900.
Operating under the name “Crefelder Metallwaren-Fabrik Bitter & Gobbers GmbH,” they marketed their products under the brands Imperial Zinn and B&G. The company collaborated with prominent French artists, including Maurel and Claude Bonnefond.
