A Nest of Four Art Nouveau Tables by Emile Galle Early 20th Century

This nest of four Art Nouveau occasional tables by Emile Gallé dates from the early 20th century. The graduating design of these antique tables allows them to be stored neatly away when not in use. Inspired by nature, the table tops depict scenes of daffodil flowers, boats on a peaceful lake landscape, and three little kittens lapping up spilt milk.

All marquetry panels are beautifully inlaid in a combination of rich woods, consisting of mahogany, rosewood, birch, walnut and chestnut. Each table top is signed with a signature of “Galle” in marquetry, size of the largest table is 58 x 37.5cm, 70cm height.
